Oheya Seoul introduces 'Hotteok Bread', a signature dessert that reinterprets hotteok—a winter soul food that captures the most Korean and friendly street-side warmth—with Oheya Seoul's own sophisticated style.
While preserving the sweet and savory flavor of the hotteok of our memories, we have added modern baking techniques to maximize the attractive texture of the bread, which is crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside. By layering an exotic touch and sensible visuals onto the familiarity of traditional desserts, we present a familiar yet completely new culinary experience. Taste the full essence of Korean modern desserts proposed by Oheya Seoul.

'HOTTEOK BREAD' is a signature menu item that reimagines Hotteok, Korea's representative winter street snack, with EHEYA SEOUL's unique and sophisticated sensibility. By boldly departing from the traditional method of deep-frying in oil and carefully baking it in an oven, we have completed a light, healthy flavor tailored to modern tastes. While fully retaining the sweet, savory, and charming flavor of the traditional Hotteok's stuffing, it sensually embodies the rich texture of bread that is crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. This was a journey and contemplation toward a new standard of Korean light dessert proposed by EHEYA SEOUL, which can be enjoyed cleanly anytime, anywhere, throughout all four seasons, regardless of the season.

Developer's Note Hotteok, our beloved street food, is incredibly charming, but its unique greasy heaviness and the seasonal limitation of being sought after only in winter were always regrettable. To make up for these shortcomings, we began our research with the idea of creating a well-made dessert that anyone can enjoy casually in their daily life, all year round. After countless tests, instead of frying in oil, we adopted a baking method that involves carefully baking them in the oven, and thanks to this, we were able to complete a much lighter and healthier taste tailored to the lifestyle of modern people. The part we put the most effort into was the balance between familiarity and novelty. While fully preserving the identity of the sweet cinnamon honey inside traditional hotteok, we focused on the structural fusion of harmoniously melting it into the soft and chewy texture of Western-style bread. Carrying the warm nostalgia of the streets, this hotteok-bread, which offers a clean variation in texture from the first bite to the last, is a record of our fierce contemplation, wishing it to permeate into many people's daily lives as a pleasant culinary experience.
