In-house project
By any chance, do you like stationery stores? I have loved stationery stores since I was in elementary school, so I remember always stopping by after school for no particular reason.
Out of all the many stationery items, notebooks are my favorite. Under the pretext of having to take notes during middle and high school, and using the excuse of needing to keep good records as an adult, I bought notebooks frequently and in large quantities. On my days off, I used to wander around stationery stores to find the perfect notebook. This was because I wanted a notebook that was simple yet elegant, and also comfortable to use.

An eco-friendly and user-friendly notebook that I have always wanted to make. It is crafted with Hanji (traditional Korean paper) leather, recycled paper, and soy-based recycled ink.
Measuring 125 x 180 mm and featuring exposed stitch binding, this notebook is made entirely from eco-friendly materials and is packaged in Hanji paper with a recycled sticker for delivery to consumers.
It felt incredibly rewarding to sell these notebooks to many people and donate the proceeds to environmental causes.

In creating this single notebook, I went through a great deal of contemplation. First, I wanted to avoid reckless production and use eco-friendly materials that can return to nature... And because, from the Earth's perspective, this might be creating a carbon footprint that doesn't need to exist, we decided to use a portion of the proceeds for the environment. Although there are many synthetic materials and other leather products on the market, I wanted to use materials that are environmentally friendly from production to disposal. In my search, I discovered Hanji leather, a material made from traditional Korean paper, and without hesitation, used it for the notebook cover. It is a good material that is not only beautiful to look at but also has many advantages.
