This is a showcase display stand that visually reinterprets the geometric perfection and precise technology of the world 'Orb'. It captures the inherent identity of the object by translating the cold language of technology into the warm materiality of furniture.

Behind the perfect spherical shape, the internal mechanism is boldly disassembled (Exploded View) and spread out three-dimensionally in space. To maximize the futuristic identity of the orb, transparent acrylic that transmits and reflects light was used as the main objects. The unique transparent physical property of acrylic displays the disassembled parts in an organic structure as if they are floating in mid-air. Through this, it is designed so that viewers can explore the inside and outside of the product simultaneously and intuitively experience the sophistication of the technology.

I prefer not to just create a cool shape, but to design the operation and usability of the space where the furniture will be placed. I designed built-in drawers with storage space at the bottom of this showcase to minimize visual noise that could occur during the exhibition and to enable clean operation. I believe that details in unseen places ultimately determine the quality of the entire exhibition. I wanted to capture my own philosophy that what makes a beautiful object stand out perfectly is, in the end, thoroughly calculated structures and details of usability.

The dramatic visual twist that received the most effort in this exhibition is completed the moment you look at the furniture from the front. The parts of the globe, which were disassembled in all directions and suspended in the air, were calculated to magically gather from a single perspective and appear combined into a perfect sphere. To fully convey this incredible sense of immersion, we carefully integrated not only the internal structure of the furniture but also the invisible convenience of maintenance into the design to ensure that neatness is maintained throughout the exhibition. Embedding the practicality of on-site operations in invisible places rather than focusing solely on glamour is also my attitude toward work. I believe that when aesthetics and functionality are balanced, visitors can fully immerse themselves in the artwork, and ultimately, well-made design is completed in clever details that control the surrounding environment in a pleasant way.
